Platform4-in-a-box

Art and technology project Platform4 has over the recent 3 years grown more and more mature - and initiated some of Denmarks most creative and colorful projects in the spectrum between art and technology. Now the time has come to go on tour and showcase the project. This will happen with the mobile exhibition PLATFORM4-IN-A-BOX, where seven select projects are put in a box and sent on the road.

PLATFORM4 is a user-driven multi-functional venue, that experiments with new technological and digital elements in combination with artistic and creative genres ranging from design, music, theater, contemporary art, hacker culture, architecture and much more. Focus is not only put on giving the audience and users exciting experiences, but also on creating the optimal frame for budding new projects and product development.

Throughout the last 3 years the users of the 3000 sq. meter warehouse on the brink of Limfjorden has put themselves on the map with curious projects such as the 8-bit festival BLIP, hacking-conference 4.0.FUTURE MEETING HUB, electronic festivals like APPARAT.Lab and APART - as well as the world's first Sail-In Cinema. Platform4 host numerous workshops and talks with prominent guests both nationally and from abroad in order to equip it's users with skills to work with various technologies - and a co-working space has been created to allow project developers the space and opportunity to work and experiment around the clock.

With PLATFORM4-In-A-Box it is now time to give other cities as taste of some of the flavors that PLATFORM4 contains. Therefore 7 projects have been selected over the course of 12 months, and these will be assembled and transported to select Danish cities for exhibition, so that the audience there will be able to experience a little of what PLATFORM4 stands for. The projects are interactive installations that play with the spectrum between art and technology, and in each city there will be held an informal vernissage where audience can even meet the artists for a chat.
