Archived: Ludinno : User Driven Innovation
The 3. of September we open the doors for the User Driven Innovation workshop, LUDINNO.
In the workshop students from Architecture and Design, Experience design, Interactive Digitale Media (Aalborg University) and Occupational Therapy (University College Nordjylland) will collaborate on cases provided by local companies and organisations. Through the application of state of the art user centred design methods the students strive towards the creation of innovative concepts.
User driven innovation, concept development and video methodology is central for the workshop, but its application various in relation to the presented cases that the students will work with.
The workshop consists of intensive 3 1/2 weeks, which is divided into three phases – 1 User Analysis, 2 Ideation and 3 Concept development. In the first phase the students get introduced to the case by the company, conduct ethnographic field studies and prepare a user centred design event for the companies. In the second phase François Jegou is flown in to introduce his video ideation methodology and in the last phase the students form innovative concepts on the basis of their prior work.
The different phases end with a workshop or presentation, where the companies will come in and discuss the project and its progression with the students.
The LUDINNO workshop is organised by Nicola Morelli and Søren Bolvig Poulsen from Institute of Architecture and Design, Aalborg University. Other main stakeholders are Claus Rosenstand from Aalborg University and Ole Mygind from University College Nordjylland.
We thank PLATFORM4 and the involved local companies and organisations for pleasant collaboration. In addition we would like to thank Nordic Innovation Centre for the funds that made this innovative workshop possible.
